Following her academic study of Anthropology and Journalism, Erika trained in film editing with renowned independent film editor and producer &lt;a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0654601/"&gt;Alan Oxman&lt;/a&gt; (&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;Welcome to the Dollhouse&lt;/span&gt;, &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;Happiness&lt;/span&gt;, &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;Control Room&lt;/span&gt;, NBC’s “The Restaurant,” Comedy Central’s “Stella,” etc). Under Oxman’s supervision, Erika served as an additional editor for two independent feature films, &lt;a href="http://www.urbanwolfproductions.com/"&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;The Garage&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt; and &lt;a href="http://www.headtraumamovie.com"&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;Head Trauma&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt; at The Edit Center in New York City.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In 2005, Erika edited the independent feature film &lt;a href="http://www.skatermovie.com/clip.html"&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;Chronicles of a Skater Girl&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;, directed by Dan Mirman and distributed by &lt;a href="http://www.harlemfilms.com/"&gt;Harlem Films&lt;/a&gt;.  &lt;br /&gt;Erika directed a music video for signed, nationally distributed artist &lt;a href="http://www.myspace.com/greyscale/"&gt;Greyscale&lt;/a&gt;.  She also acted as editor and second camera for the video.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In 2006, Erika co-directed and edited a 30-minute documentary for broadcast: the story of a third-generation, Nevada &lt;a href="http://www.adelesrestaurantandlounge.com/about.html"&gt;chef&lt;/a&gt; who was honored with one of the world's most prestigious culinary awards at &lt;a href="http://jamesbeard.org"&gt;The James Beard Foundation&lt;/a&gt; in New York.  She edited a series of commercials for &lt;a href="http://www.mpp.org/"&gt;The Marijuana Policy Project's&lt;/a&gt; ballot initiatives in Nevada and South Dakota during the 2006 campaign season.  She also edited the 2006 season premiere episode of &lt;a href="http://www.knpb.org/productions/house/default.asp"&gt;House with a History&lt;/a&gt;, which airs on 48 PBS stations nationwide.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In 2007, Erika shot and edited the 1-hour documentary "Great Expectations: The 2007 Nevada Legislature," which aired on PBS throughout Nevada. She directed the welcome video for the &lt;a href="http://www.automuseum.org"&gt;National Automobile Museum&lt;/a&gt;, which plays hourly in their digital theatre. She also developed and taught a month-long Final Cut Pro training program for media professionals at &lt;a href="http://www.tmcc.edu"&gt;Truckee Meadows Community College&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Most recently, Erika assistant directed a music video for certified Platinum selling and Grammy-nominated band &lt;a href="http://www.modestmousemusic.com"&gt;Modest Mouse&lt;/a&gt; (SONY BMG/ Epic Records), directed by &lt;a href="http://www.justinfrancis.com"&gt;Justin Francis&lt;/a&gt;.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Erika is a videographer and editor for &lt;a href="http://www.knpb.org"&gt;Northern Nevada's PBS&lt;/a&gt;, as well as a media consultant to &lt;a href="http://www.bactv.org"&gt;BACTV&lt;/a&gt;, Carson City's Public Access Television Station.
